You know, churches don't run just by the work of the pastor or the staff. Churches only work well when the people of the church join the work. This isn't simply because we don't have the money to pay enough staff to do the work we want to do. That's not it at all actually. The church is supposed to be a group of people who meet God, are changed by Him, and get to work changing the world to reflect and worship Him! My job as a pastor is actually to help you reflect the glory of God in all aspects of your life, and help you get to work changing the world! That work may be in kids ministry or youth ministry, it might be in sharing your testimony or praying with a friend, it might be leading your family to honour God or feeding the hungry, or it might be in praying for the lost and those who are sick. 

It's not just about getting work done, it is about getting everyone involved in the work! And that looks different for different people, and that is exactly how it should be. You aren't helping me do ministry. I'm helping you do ministry!!

1.  AWC - We had a work day on Saturday and the team did a huge amount of work to accomplish a whole list of things that needed to be done. Thanks in large measure to great leadership from the Building Team leader!

2.  Connection - I am again hearing more people say things like, "things are starting to feel different already!"

3. AWC - We had 52 teens last Friday at EDGE Youth, and what's even cooler than that is how some of our teens aren't being pull away from God by their other activities but they are actually brining friends from those activities to youth!

4. Connection - Emma spoke for the first time at Connection and she made some great connections! I think everyone that could hear her was very impressed.

Just work harder! Push through the pain. Don't give up. Keep trying.

We hear those things and we say those things and we still fail at the most important things. When you're broken, it's not about trying harder, it's about getting healed.

This month we will be spending time in worship and prayer, learning about missions and connecting with one of our Missionary couples.

This couple will be sharing on Sunday Sept 28th as well!

We will be starting to collect candy and looking for volunteers for this year's Trunk or Treat happening on Oct 25th!

Join us at the West Highlands Elementary Gymnasium for games and lessons designed to help kids grow in their confidence and character development. 

For kids in Grades Primary to 6

5:45 - 6:45 pm

Konnect the Tots is a playgroup for parents and kids that takes place every Thursday from 9:30-11:30 at Amherst Wesleyan Church (6 Maltby Ct). There are toys and activities set up in the basement of the church for kids to play with! Everyone is welcome! (Enter through the parking lot side door!)

When we update and properly maintain our facility it allows us to do more ministry longer.

Starting up again this Fall (Startup Date TBD)

Come learn English and about life in Canada. This is open to everyone. We want to make this course available to everyone regardless of their economic situation.
