Vision
There are lots of things happening, so be sure to scan down through this newsletter and make note in your calendar of all the events! Plus, we have special guest Tanya Nace from World Hope Canada on Sunday Nov 30th that you will want to be here for! You are also invited to join Tanya after service to find out more about World Hope Canada. This extra opportunity will be a Bring-Your-Own-Lunch event. ------------------- There is a passage in Isaiah where king Hezekiah is being threatened in a letter by a foreign king, so Hezekiah brings the letter to God and asks God to intervene. It then says in Isaiah 37:21 that God gave an answer to Hezekiah, "Because you have brought [it] to me in prayer." Hezekiah actually got victory in this situation simply because he brought it to God. No grand gesture was needed. No major sacrifice. No special ritual. Hezekiah read the letter and then took it straight to God, and God gave him victory because of that. Is prayer our first response or do we only pray after we have tried all other options? I think our world will look a lot different when we start praying first. Wins
1. AWC - We brought in over $1400 through our Bake Auction Fundraiser for the Christmas Wrap-Up! 2. Connection - We had another teen ask about baptism! 3. AWC - I had so many people talk to me about the service this past Sunday, and it is incredible watching the Spirit speak so surgically to people at AWC. A first-time attendee mentioned to someone in our church, "it felt like he was speaking directly to me." 4. Connection - We are noticing more people resonating with the services and volunteers growing in their callings. It feels like people are "leaning in" more all the time. |

Forgotten by GodWalking with God - Sunday, November 23, 2025 Bad things happen. We try to make sense of it. We try to keep ourselves encouraged. We try to ignore the pain of it. We try to spin it into something that doesn't hurt so bad. But, sometimes it just feels like God has forgotten us. Do we need to dull the pain, or is it better to lean into it and get through it? Psalm 74 You're not the only person to ever feel forgotten by God. For more infomation visit: http://amherstwesleyan.com/media/2025-11-23-forgotten-by-god
