Confidence & Humilityby Pastor Evan Confidence and humility may seem to be contradictions, but not in Christ. On my own, my confidence usually turns into arrogance, and my humility usually turns into selfish attention-seeking or an excuse for my behaviour. In Christ however my humility makes me more dependent on Jesus. My dependence on Him makes me more confident in Him. And my confidence in Him makes me more aware of how small I am compared to Him! We know what it feels like to hire someone to do a job and then to wonder why we paid them all that money just to do it not even as good as we could ourselves. But when you hire someone to do a job and you are blown away by what they accomplished, you feel like you haven't paid them enough. The more I let Jesus work in my life, the more convinced I am that I should be giving Him more. He humbles me, and at the same time makes me more confident in Him. |

Amherst Wesleyan: 1. ESL (English as a Second Language) had their closing night for the semester and were able to do it off-site in the community! 2. Pastor Brad met with a family about their future in Canada and he was able to pray with them about it. After the meeting they went home and discovered an email confirming an extension to their work visas! Connection Church: 1. One of our men attended and had an incredible time on the Band of Brothers retreat on Caton’s Island this weekend… he was very thankful that Connection supported him to go! We will hear more of an update from him on Sunday. 2. Annual Board Meeting went soooo well Sunday night. The desserts were great, and someone actually wrote me to say, "The presence of love in that business meeting was so real, I never have experienced it before." 3. We held a yard cleanup evening on Monday and were able to get a pile of stuff done! Thank you sooo much to the people who showed up to serve in this way! |

Trip to Sierra LeoneWorld Hope Canada Pastor Evan has been invited to take part in a special trip to Sierra Leone to discover how World Hope Canada operates and the needs that exist in our world. This will set us up to partner more seriously with World Hope Canada by becoming a Hope Alliance Partner. We are taking this step because we believe the work World Hope Canada does is helping some of the most vulnerable people in our world, and they need our help. We have been blessed so we can be a blessing. Please be praying for their work, and for Pastor Evan as he prepares for this trip. If you would like to donate to the trip you can click on the buttom below, and be sure that they add Evans Oxner’s name to “Team Member Name” section. Or E-transfers can also be sent to: finance@worldhope.ca with note "Evan Oxner - Sierra Leone Learning Trip" For more infomation visit:

Caton's Island Kids Camp
Caton’s is offering fourteen different camps this summer for all ages. Don’t hesitate to register our camps fill up fast! Caton’s Island is a unique place. Situated in the Long Reach, the 120 acre island is a small piece of paradise. Originally named “Emenenic” – meaning ‘Isle of Prayers’ or ‘Meeting Place’ – a historical monument marks it as the first European settlement in New Brunswick, est. 1611. Take a walk along the scenic trails that wind through the old-growth forest of massive hemlock, mighty oaks, and towering pines. Visit the remote beaches to sit in quiet solitude, and take in the splendid beauty of the river dotted with sailboats. View wildlife, such as eagles, osprey, and owls, along with deer, rabbits, partridge, raccoons, and the various shorebirds, which often make their home here. You’ll soon realize that there is something extra-ordinary about this island. To all this, add energetic campers having fun playing, swimming, or worshiping God, and you will begin to grasp the true distinctiveness of Caton’s as a summer camp – a place where kids learn, grow, and experience life.
