In the Gospels there is a story of a group of friends who try to bring a paralyzed man to Jesus for healing. When they arrive they find that they can't get to Jesus because of the crowd so they actually break through the roof and lower the man down to Jesus.  There are a few really special things that happen in this story but what I'd like to highlight for you today is that without his friends, this man wouldn't have made it to Jesus. It is because of his friends that he gets healed. We are surrounded by people who need spiritual healing and we may be the only way they are going to meet Jesus and be healed. It may not be convenient. It may require "breaking through a roof," but how else will they meet Christ?

Who in your life is God calling you to bring to Jesus?

1.  AWC - We have ANOTHER baptism scheduled for Nov 30th!

2.  Connection - We have two more teens scheduled to get baptized on Dec 7th!

3. AWC - People are connecting enough with the sermons lately that they are reaching out to talk to me about them!

4. Connection - Pastor Emma has already been connecting with different people and making connections that are leading to more connections at Connection... see, it all connects!

When we face surprises, doubts and fears it can easily throw us into a panic. But when you call someone trying to figure out how to fix all that's gone wrong and they say, "hey, oh we already took care of that, it's all done," there is an incredible amount of relief that can wash over you. What God shows us in Psalm 22 is that God is way ahead of us, and He has already done what needs to be done.

This year as part of our annual Christmas Wrap-Up we are collecting winter items for the shelter in town. There will be a bin in the church where you can place donations you would like to make towaards this project.  Here are some of the items they are looking for:

- Hats

- Mittens

- Scarves

- Longjohns

- Winter Socks

- Boots

and ANYTHING ELSE to help someone stay warm in the cold

A night of worship. Songs, Prayer, and creative elements will be used to set aside time to simply focus on God and give Him glory.

With our annual Christmas Wrap-Up happening soon we are raising funds to help support families in need! Join us for a night of music and an auction of baked goods to support those in our community this Christmas!

Admission and Refreshments are by donation.

All proceeds go to support those in need this Christmas, like through our Christmas Wrap-Up projects.

Sunday Nov 23rd our morning service will be 30min longer to allow for a special presentation.

Are you interested in getting baptized? Talk to one of our pastors to start the process.  We have a baptism scheduled for Nov 30th already!

Our annual Christmas Wrap-Up is a time for us to rally together to bless our community and meet needs this December. Our team is working on all the details to put these projects together for us, but some of the things we do are:

- free gift wrapping

- buying presents for families in need

- putting together food boxes for families connected with West Highlands Elementary

- caroling at nursing homes

Our Konnect Kids have been working hard to prepare for their Christmas Pageant.

Join us on Sunday Dec 15th at 10:30am for this special presentation and celebrate the meaning of Christmas!

Choose from either 7pm on Dec 23rd or 7pm on Dec 24th to join us for a Candlelight Christmas Celebration!

Come as you are, or come in your Christmas best, to celebrate the coming of Jesus with Christmas carols, special music, candles, a place to take a family Christmas picture, and maybe another couple special things too!

We like to keep you updated on how things are going at AWC and in an effort to keep you informed each year we put out a mid-year business update with highlights from the year so-far and where we are headed next. Our church year runs from May-April, so this is about the midpoint for us.

Tuesdays 7pm - AWC Downstairs

Come learn English and about life in Canada. This is open to everyone. Participants may be asked to cover the cost of workbooks, but if for some reason you are unable to cover that cost, you can still participate. We want to make this course available to everyone regardless of their economic situation.

Join us at the West Highlands Elementary Gymnasium for games and lessons designed to help kids grow in their confidence and character development. 

For kids in Grades Primary to 6

5:45 - 6:45 pm

Konnect the Tots is a playgroup for parents and kids that takes place every Thursday from 9:30-11:30 at Amherst Wesleyan Church (6 Maltby Ct). There are toys and activities set up in the basement of the church for kids to play with! Everyone is welcome! (Enter through the parking lot side door!)

When we update and properly maintain our facility it allows us to do more ministry longer.
