I hope you have all had a great Summer! I am on vacation this week and won't be back in the office until Sept 3rd (at least that is the plan). Pastor Brad will be in the office though and you can reach out to him with any questions, concerns, or issues you need assistance with.

It has been a busy, slightly chaotic, and kinda strange Summer for us. I am very glad to have Brad back. This doesn't necessarily make my workload lighter, but it changes what I am able to focus on with my time. As we enter the Fall season and we start preparing Small Groups, Konnect Play, EDGE Youth, and other events, we will also be looking to get some of those things started at Connection (Truro). 

Then when Pastor Emma starts at Connection, my job will shift again, allowing me to focus less on starting and running things in Truro and more about making sure that Amherst and Truro are both doing the right things in the right ways at the right times. 

I don't say any of that because I want you to think that I am busy or that I don't have time for you. I want to keep you all in the loop so you have a better idea of how things are running and how we are managing the workload over the next few months. We are only tackling things as we have margin to do so. I am only going to be focusing on the big picture things when we have all the other parts in place.

That actually means we aren't too busy. Your faith jouney and discipleship are still absolutely vital to us, and we will do everything we can to make time to connect with you, meet with you, talk about stuff going on in your life, help you navigate questions and concerns, support your marriage and family, and guide you to a closer walk with God. Don't avoid reaching out because you think we are busy. We are intentionally making sure we aren't so busy that we don't have time for you!

I am so glad you are a part of this church and what God is doing here.  We are seeing His Kingdom come down-to-earth. Let's go together.

1. Pastor Brad is back!

2. We had 9 kids decide to follow Jesus this week at Konnect Camp! Plus we heard from 26 other kids who said they have already made that decision! I think we had 44 kids present Thursday night at camp, and I think every night there were kids here who had never been to AWC before.  The lifelong and eternal impact of what has been happening this week is unkown and also immeasurable!

3. Church finances have remained consistent this Summer, staying in our target range to keep Bradford and serve our community!

4. As we have been working with Connection (Truro) our leaders have been stepping up and God has been moving in incredible ways through them!

5. I had someone share with me a miracle of God's provision this week.  I know they want to keep the details private, but God provided thousands of dollars for them to pay off overwhelming debt.

6. I talked to someone else who has been struggling financially and looking for work, and they found a great job on Tuesday!

7. The chairlift is working and inspected and is now operational!

Do you need to check your brain at the door when you start to consider faith in God? I don't think so. Actually, the more you use your brain the more God makes sense!

Join us on Tuesday night at 7pm for a time of focused prayer.  As we begin to focus more on Missions we want to also be preparing our lives and our church for this work.  We need to be more focused on prayer, more solid in our faith, and better prepared for the challenges we face.

There will be a monthly time to learn, hear testimonies, grow in your faith, find support, discover opportunities for mission work and how to share your faith. Usually the final Tuesday of each month!

Join a night of worship for the whole family!

Our Worship Team will be putting together a special evening where we can gather to worship God as young and old together. 

Sunday Sept 21st we will be having a special extended service that goes an extra 30min longer. This allows us to do some special things we don't normally get to do on Sunday!
