Vision
I believe God calls us to be a light wherever we find ourselves, whether that be at work, school, home, the grocery store, or a restaurant. You may be the only light in that place. You may be the only connection those people have to Jesus. There are so many people that I, as a pastor, can't reach, but you are right there! Have you considered that before? How you do your job/school/whatever, and what you say to those around you may be the biggest connection those people have to the Gospel. Don't miss your chance to show them Jesus. |
Wins
1. We held a Suicide Awareness Seminar on Saturday that was incredibly useful both in giving us skills in how to support people around us, and being brave enough to help them get help. 2. On Sunday we held an LBA meeting and a Leadership Team meeting, and both of them were filled with open dialogue, good questions, great discussion, and a growing unity in our leadership. 3. Our Building Team has been hard at work developing a binder of information about our building, maintenance schedules, and even an electrical diagram for which plugs are connected to what! If you'd like to help with the Building Team, let us know!!! |
Where Are They Taking You?Can I Go Home Now? - Sunday, February 18, 2024 Everyone is trying to get our attention. Especially in the world of money, politics, and religion, someone is always trying to get you to look at them and follow them. Sometimes, we find someone in that realm that makes us want to follow them because of their personality, what they say, how they say it, what they promise, or some of the ideas they share. Not all of those people are bad, and not all of them are good either. We need to be careful who we follow because when we follow someone, we end up where they are going. Key Point: If they lead you back to sin and death, stop following them. Key Scripture: 2 Peter 2:1-3, 18-22
