Vision
I was trying to think of what you all needed to hear from me today, but I couldn't figure out the words. Then the Lord led me to simply share with you these verses. I've put a couple of versions of the translation here for you. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30: “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.” (MSG) "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (NKJV)

Wins
1. Our Volunteer Appreciation Night was a ton of fun, and I think most people left feeling pretty encouraged! 2. Our Sunday Pastor Panel seemed to go over really well too! There were some really great questions and it felt like it connected well! 3. We as a staff have been having so many great conversations with people in our church about growth, maturity, the Holy Spirit, and surrendering to Jesus! God is stirring hearts. |
How to Stay EffectiveCan I Go Home Now? - Sunday, February 11, 2024 Peter was writing his letter to the church as a final statement. He wanted to make sure they remembered the most essential things and that they were encouraged to continue. He uses this moment to make it clear to the church not to get lazy, not to give up, not to fail, but to hold confidently to Jesus and keep growing. To keep making a difference, we need to keep getting better. 2 Peter 1:5-9, 16 & 20 For more infomation visit: http://amherstwesleyan.com/media/2024-02-11-how-to-stay-effective
