Vision
Our staff, leadership team, and board are taking time to do a Vision Retreat this Friday and Saturday. Please take a moment to pray for this event and for our church. We want to gain a better sense of what God is up to in AWC and where we are headed next. Some things we need to consider are: - Pastor Sheryl's transition - How we can plant churches in Northern NS - What to do about the church heating system - Helping our people hear God more clearly For more infomation visit: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSd_gCnYJ7STSsd0La1eU4QP1t223EQEkBUzJaflPjog7zgwEA/viewform

Wins
1. Volunteers are stepping up to take new leadership roles, some for the very first time! 2. We had someone who is homeless show up at our church this week during an event, and our people welcomed him with open arms! 3. The teens have started sitting together on Sundays, and they are taking up more and more of the front seats! |
Don't Stand on MoneyWhat's Your Foundation? - Sunday, January 21, 2024 Even if we know that we shouldn't be looking to money as what we build our lives on, we often fall for the temptation to or just live our lives practically like it is our foundation! And yes, money is useful and can help us along our journey to solve problems, make a difference, relieve stress, and have fun, but it simply isn't stable enough for us to base our lives on. It can't save us. We need something better to direct our lives. Matthew 6:19-21 Money may be versatile, but it isn't very stable.
