Vision
Well, we are still in lockdown, and from what we can tell we won't be doing in-person services until June 20th at the earliest. We are still waiting on a number of details, so when I have a better idea of what things can look like I will let you know. I do want to highlight three things though: 1. Jarah Gregory is doing an online seminar on Saturday June 12th about Emotional Intelligence. You should check out the details below and sign up. 2. If you haven't filled out our Update Your Info form yet, you should follow this link to do that and be entered for a chance to win a $50 gift card. Also, feel free to encourage others to update their info too! All the cool kids are doing it... 3. We are starting a new series this Sunday called What Now: Where am I going and how do I get there? We will be learning from the journey of the Israelites in the Old Testament book of Numbers, and then we will hear a message from Michael on June 20th and a message from Jamin on June 27th! |
Wins
1. Pastor Sheryl was in an accident on Wednesday morning, and though she will be down and out for a while, she is expected to make a full recovery! And the accident could have been a lot worse. Please keep Pastor Sheryl in prayer as she heals. 2. It is looking very hopeful that the atlantic bubble will happen on July 1st, which should allow Pastor Brad and Olivia to move here without having to isolate! 3. It is also looking very hopeful that we will be back in-person this summer, and maybe even able to transition from two services in Amherst to one big service this Fall. Let's hope and pray for this! |
Update Your Contact InformationFor a chance to win a $50 Gift Card! We're updating our database and need your help! We need everyone connectted to our church to fill out this form so we have updated information on everyone. As a bit of motivation, when you fill out the form you are entered for a chance to win a $50 gift card! If you're married, your spouse can fill it out as well, and that gets your family another chance to win the gift card! |
You're Not AloneMental Health Checkup - Sunday, May 30, 2021 Philippians 4:6-7 We weren't meant to face life alone, that's why more often than not we need to get help. Through all our mental struggles and challenges, there are a few things we can do on our own to improve our health and make positive strides, but sometimes the issues dig a little deeper than what we can manage on our own. Actually, even when we think we can do it on our own, it is usually still better to go through the struggle with others. God clearly states in the Bible that we were designed to go through life together, and that means in our struggles too. At AWC
Online Services Only We are doing only Online Services for May 2 & 9, due to the present COVID restrictions in NS. No on-site services until restrictions change. We hope you can join us online at 10:30am this Sunday! Senior Volunteers We hope to launch events when COVID cases decrease. Sharon Taylor has stepped up to lead the effort to minister to and reach the seniors of our community, and she is hard at work developing ideas, putting events together and recruiting a team of leaders! We still need lots of volunteers though, especially to run events. We need all sorts of volunteers to serve in lots of different ways. If you're willing to serve, reach out to Sharon at 902-669-1330 (Mobile) and let her know! |
