One of the incredible things I like about Amherst Wesleyan being partnered with Connection Church is that each is able to highlight different parts of the same mission. It allows both churches to flesh out and be challenged to fully live out our purpose. 

It has only been a few weeks since we presented our motto for Connection Church: Following Jesus, Fiding our Places; Let's Go Together. Yet, the more I think about it and share it, the more powerful it seems to be. It is bleeding into Amherst. It doesn't go against what AWC is. It actually compliments it. It brings it more to life. 

I guess both AWC and Connection are finding their places.

Let's go together.

1.  AWC - Our team pulled off the Christmas Wrap-Up and did an excellent job with it!

2.  Connection - Another teen got baptized and we even had a teen from Amherst drive down to Truro to support them!

3. AWC - As we see more visitors and new people joining AWC I am hearing in different ways how they are noticing God in how we do our services, how we behave, and how we search boldly.

4. Connection - We are seeing more people leaning in to Connection Church, with people coming back, new people visiting and even having more and more people get involved through volunteering with Youth ministry or Outreach events!

Wrap Up Report:

- Hub  -15 gift bags done up with a candy cane tract , 2 pairs of socks, a hat and a pack of hand warmers in each bag. Plus 3 bags of coats (stuffed full) a bag of hats and gloves. A couple blankets and boots. 

All dropped off and they were super grateful.

-We had 11 happy carollers

 (6 Adults, two teens, 3 children) sing Christmas carols at Gables Lodge, then at Centennial Villa. It was well received and much appreciated. They asked when can we come back next. We handed out candy canes with the candy cane tract. 

- Three people went out to buy the Gifts for the 3 families(2 of the families had 4 people) from Autumn House and a $150 grocery card for each all from the money we raised from the dessert auction. 

-10 Food boxes were done up for families in need at West Highlands school.

Our Konnect Kids have been working hard to prepare for their Christmas Pageant.

Join us on Sunday Dec 15th at 10:30am for this special presentation and celebrate the meaning of Christmas!

Choose from either 7pm on Dec 23rd or 7pm on Dec 24th to join us for a Candlelight Christmas Celebration!

Come as you are, or come in your Christmas best, to celebrate the coming of Jesus with Christmas carols, special music, candles, a place to take a family Christmas picture, and maybe another couple special things too!

Tuesdays 7pm - AWC Downstairs

Come learn English and about life in Canada. This is open to everyone. Participants may be asked to cover the cost of workbooks, but if for some reason you are unable to cover that cost, you can still participate. We want to make this course available to everyone regardless of their economic situation.

Join us at the West Highlands Elementary Gymnasium for games and lessons designed to help kids grow in their confidence and character development. 

For kids in Grades Primary to 6

5:45 - 6:45 pm

Konnect the Tots is a playgroup for parents and kids that takes place every Thursday from 9:30-11:30 at Amherst Wesleyan Church (6 Maltby Ct). There are toys and activities set up in the basement of the church for kids to play with! Everyone is welcome! (Enter through the parking lot side door!)

Have you downloaded the free YouVersion Bible App? You should.  It allows you to read the Bible in multiple translations, and many with the option to read it to you. It has guided reading plans, and ways you can work through those plans with others.
