- Baptism is a public and symbolic declaration of our faith in Jesus.
- It is symbolic of the new life and cleansing from sin that is offered through Jesus
- All believers are called to baptism and is an act of obedience
- Baptism is not a "TICKET" to heaven
- Baptism allows other believers to celebrate the transformative work of God in your life and provides opportunities for non-believers in attendance to experiece a move of God in their own life
- You are not required to be re-baptized if you were baptized at a different church or if you "backslid" in your faith
REQUIREMENTS to be baptized at AWC
- You've repented (turned away from) your sins and accepted Jesus as Lord
- You've committed to follow Jesus for the rest of your life
- You've watched the extended editions of Lord of the Rings...(not actually; but you should)
