Vision
We are revising a number of our projects and events to make sure that what we do matters to the lost and leads them to Jesus. We have a new plan for Christmas Eve, which I will share with you early in December. We are also looking hard at Trunk-or-Treat to make the Truth and Love of Christ more obvious, and how we actually stand in contrast to the fear that is so prevalent. Our Kids Min and Outreach Teams are working hard to experiment and navigate these things. But this isn't just for them to figure out. We are all in this. These events exist so WE, the people of Christ, can show the world who Jesus is, and to get a chance to love them face-to-face. Every interaction we get to have at Trunk-or-Treat should be a moment when we get to help people feel seen by God. The candy we need donated so we can run this event is simply the catalyst, the thing that opens the door, for that interaction. The candy isn't the point. Loving and reaching the lost is the point. Please donate candy for this ministry and volunteer to be part of Trunk-or-Treat through decorating a trunk or serving in some capacity so we can help others feel seen by God! |
Wins
1. We baptized 9 people last Sunday! 2. We are seeing people being more bold with their faith, especially those who were just baptized on Sunday! 3. We had a pile of visitors out on Sunday, and someone shared with me that at AWC they felt the people here were friendly and welcoming without being weird about it. |

Right to ForgivePlease Forgive Me - Sunday, October 1, 2023 You have the right to raise your kids and make the rules for your home. Police have the right to enforce the law. A king has the right to make the law for the nation. These are examples of authority. When someone has authority over something, they have the right to make the rules and change things. Jesus has authority over us, and authority over our sins! Mark 2:10 Jesus has the right to forgive your sins. For more infomation visit: http://amherstwesleyan.com/media/2023-10-01-right-to-forgive
