I want to give you all an update on AWC's financial situation. Our Treasurer has been watching the finances closely and feels that something has changed in our church! The number of donors has increased from 50ish to 70ish, and donations were around $20 000 last month! Plus, I got word that the Town of Amherst has awarded us a grant for the chairlift, which is going to save us $13 000.

Sometimes when financial needs are presented organizations will see a very temporart boost in donations but then things will drop back down to where they were before. That doesn't seem to be what's happening here! From what we are seeing not only have you been incredibly obedient to God's call but He is pouring out His blessing on this church, multiplying what's coming in! 

Thank you for leaning into faith and trusting God with your finances. Thank you for being part of this church. Thank you for being a people who want to honour Jesus with their entire lives. Your obedience is going to wreck the gates of hell. I can't wait to see what He does next!

1. I got word from the town of Amherst this week that we have been granted the full amount of our request to cover the cost of the chairlift replacement!

2. I messaged a few guys last week about doing a dump run for a bunch of our renovation debris and they rallied last week to get it down! They took the request and ran with it on their own to get it done. Incredible men and incredible leaders!!!!

3. The response this week to the sermon has been incredible.  Not only did I notice people praying together, coming forward to surrender to Christ, but I also heard about confessions taking place in order to fight long-time entrenched sin!

When we try to follow God we face opposition. We get hit with obstacles, problems, attacks and lies. The problem is that we often listen to the lies the enemy tells us when facing those things. For some reason we even start to assume that he is looking out for us... which doesn't make any sense at all! The enemy isn't talking to us to help us defeat him! He is talking to us so that he can defeat us! Maybe we should stop listening to what he has to say... Like David did when facing Goliath.

AWC's Annual Business Meeting where we review the past year, vote on certain leadership positions, and review the budget for the new business year.

Everything must go, for FREE! It's like a yardsale, but everything is free and in decent condition!

Donations can be dropped off at the church starting June 1-6.

Konnect the Tots is a playgroup for parents and kids that takes place every Thursday from 9:30-11:30 at Amherst Wesleyan Church (6 Maltby Ct). There are toys and activities set up in the basement of the church for kids to play with! Everyone is welcome! (Enter through the parking lot side door!)
