When we get tired due to scheduling, intensity and chaos we are left injured and broken. Like after a good workout, we need time to recover before we can do anymore lifting. God knew that rest was needed for us to grow and even just exist, so He set in place the Sabbath. And when we look at how the Sabbath was practiced and what Jesus understood about it's purpose we see that we still need rest today.

The point of practicing consistent moments of rest is restoration and healing.
