It is easy to look around at the world and think that everything is falling apart and to think that the end must be near. 

Well, yes.

Jesus was very clear about those two things. The world is an absolute mess and the end is going to come like a thief in the night. What's amazing is that for a time we forgot that. We thought the world was ok, maybe even something we wanted to keep as is, and that we had all the time in the world to figure things out. Nope. It's a mess and time is running out.

I'm not saying we're losing, I'm saying we are waking up to the reality that has been there for thousands of years, a reality we had forgotten about.

It's because of the mess and the ticking tock that the message of Christ is SO GOOD. He wins. He has won! We are on the winning side and He is the solution to the mess, He is the victory over the darkness, He is already taking back what the enemy has stolen. Now is the only time we have to join the mission.

Don't think the world is fine, and don't think that we are losing. It isn't fine but we are winning. The clock's ticking though, and we need to sprint to the end and fight for the lost.

1. We are finding more and more people aren’t avoiding the hard things but are leaning into the pain because they know it's what they really need to do! These are hard conversations and complicated situations and people are refusing to run away from them! That's the path to victory!!!

2. We had to purchase a new photocopier because... well because our other one is dying a painful and messy death. We managed to get what seems to be a really great machine for a really reasonable price. Then I noticed it went on sale the week after, so I contacted the company and they have given us a refund of the difference! So, it was even more reasonable of a price! Sometimes God gives us the resources we need and sometimes He just makes what we have go further!

3. We are also seeing more and more volunteers leaning into their ministries, taking ownership, initiative, and generally just blowing us away with their passion to love and serve Christ! 

Our natural reactions to stressors in our world often backfire and make things worse. If they don't make them worse, they don't make them better. Sometimes we even look at how we react and wonder why we did that! Peter says that our path forward isn't trying harder or feeling guilty, it's about letter God change us from the inside and then the outside!

Join us at the West Highlands Elementary Gymnasium for games and lessons designed to help kids grow in their confidence and character development. 

For kids in Grades Primary to 6

We will spend part of our time together digging into the Bible, Theology and Practical Skills of Faith. We will spend the rest of the evening in focused prayer for each other, our community and listening for God to speak.

I hope this will become a weekly priority for everyone.

This study replaces our small groups for this year only.

Do you need to get out of the house so you can talk to other adults? Do your kids need to get out of the house so they can play with other kids and have some space to run around?

Come check out our casual play group on Thursdays. There is no agenda and parents are responsible for their own children. Our basement space is a large open space and perfect for letting kids run and play together!
