Vision

This is our final newsletter until the Fall! It has been a wild week and I don't think I can get everything in here that I'd like to!

I am excited about the Canada Day celebration happening in a little over a week and hope you all can be part of that. This is one of our best opportunities to connect with the community and meet people we wouldn't normally get to connect with. It's also a ton of fun!

The roof of the church is almost completely redone now! We were working to take down the steeple, but as we got into the process we discovered it was built to last longer than the rest of the building! So, we got a chance to tweak it and refinish it. A HUGE HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to all the people who sacrificed their time and energy to make that happen.

We also found out that a daycare had some flood damage and needed a place to operate until the repairs were complete. That led us to get our building inspected and discovered a pile of issues that needed to be addressed for everyone's safety. We got to work and in less than a week we had all but one thing done! Again, a HUGE HUGE HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who helped make those changes and updates to our building. We just need to get rid of the construction debris behind the garage.

The daycare should be operational in our basement starting Monday! This is an incredible way for us to meet a need not just for the daycare, but also for all the families who depend on it for childcare!

I will be preaching this Sunday as we wrap up our series on Marriage. I will then be going on Sabbatical from June 19th until Sept 4th! Be ready to hit the ground running when I get back!

Wins

1. We got things up to fire code, and I saw some amazing people do some amazing work! The passion to serve and sacrifice to advance the Kingdom of God here is incredible. You guys are seriously amazing!

2. We figured out the steeple situation, and the roof is almost complete!

3. I have been soooo impressed with our staff and volunteers in how they can be given a task and simply run with it until it is completed with excellence!

4. We have had a number of people join our church lately by simply showing up! No one even invited them; they found us and came in and God spoke to them!

5. I am noticing more and more people growing in their ability to hear God speak to them and let Him influence how they behave. Several goose-bump moments with this actually!

Communication

Communication

Happily Ever After? - Sunday, June 18, 2023

We've heard the necessity of good communication before, but most of us are still pretty bad at it. When it comes to our marriages, we often don't even think about it even though we are dealing with some major consequences of bad communication! This isn't something that can be ignored in marriage. Good communication is essential, and God makes that very clear in his Word!

James 1:19; Matthew 5:24-25; Ephesians 4:15, 24-25; 1 Corinthians 7:5

If you want to go together, you need to communicate.
