Vision
I can imagine as we continue to come out of the COVID culture and as our church continues to grow, there are people around you whom you don't know. There are new neighbours, new people working at the store or jobsite, new coworkers and of course there are new people joining our church. Technology and COVID have had this wild effect on our society where we are now often scared of other people. We need each other. We need other people. It's not as easy or natural now to connect with people you don't know, but it is now more important than ever that we do. Reach out to the new people in your world! Don't wait to be invited, take the initiative, fight against the COVID culture. It has been so exciting for me to connect with many of the new people who call our church their home, and some of those relationships have been such a rich addition to my soul personally. Reach out. Connect. Make some new friends this Summer. |
Wins
1. We've had a number of people reach out to us lately, on their own initiative, about Baptism! God is stirring in people! 2. We have such an incredible team of leaders running our ministries here at AWC, and the insights and wisdom they have been bringing to the table lately is exciting! 3. The Big Give was another great day this year, with about 300 people showing up, lots of great connections and conversations, and lots of people genuinely stunned when we refused to take any money for the items. People are surprised when things are actually free. |

Do you Go Together?Happily Ever After? - Sunday, June 11, 2023 One of the trickiest parts of marriage is when the two individuals have different ideas about how things are supposed to work. We have different preferences, different desires, different expectations, and yet we are not alone anymore! Some simple things are easy to compromise or figure out, but the longer you are together, the bigger the decisions become, like kids and money. Will you face those decisions as individuals, or will you go together? Genesis 2:18 & 24, 1 Cor 7:1-17, 2 Cor 6:14-16, 1 Peter 3:1-7 Spouses are supposed to go together.
