Vision
Here are a few thoughts and reminders for you this week. First, if you are a voting members of AWC, please pick up your Membership Reaffirmation Form on Sunday and return it to us by the beginning of May. Second, could you take some time, even right now to pray about two things: the Youth Rally happening Friday and Saturday, and for God to provide the finances so we can replace the church roof this Summer. We want to pray that there are a lot of teens who attend, and that they will be open to God speaking to them. The church roof needs to be replaced and we are in the process getting all the details in place to make that happen. Again, please take time even right now to pray for these things. |
Wins
1. The youth are taking initiative to hang out with each other outside of Sunday Youth Events! The culture of Christian community is being established by the teens themselves! 2. We had a meeting with our department leaders, but some of them couldn't attend the meeting, so they sent representatives in their place. It was exciting to see new faces at the meeting and to see how our department leaders are developing their teams to establish new leaders! 3. I heard from someone in our church who was given the opportunity to lead devotions at their place of work! They actually asked this person to do it! What an incredible opportunity to bring the Gospel wherever we go! |

What's Holding You Back?Finding Jesus in the Jewish Feasts - Sunday, April 16, 2023 When you go to a theme park there are restrictions on who can ride which rides, like height and weight and age. You even need a certain kind of admission to ride certain rides. If you don't have those things, you can't go on those rides. If you do have those things, the only thing holding you back is your own choice. When we look at Christ's work on the cross and the Jewish festival of The Day of Atonement, we see that Christ removed every barrier that was holding us back from God, now the only thing remaining is for us to make a choice. Luke 23:44-46, Hebrews 10:10-18, Acts 16 There's nothing keeping you away from God anymore.
