Vision
The Lord has been teaching me many things lately. Some of them are for all of us, and some of them are just things I have needed to learn or be reminded of. I don't know if this one thing will resonate with you, but I want to share it with you in case it does. When I pray at night with my kids there are a couple phrases I use each night, hoping that they will always remember them. One line is, "God help us to treat each other with love, honour, respect and patience." Which is based on the guidelines for healthy family relationships in Ephesians 6. The other line is, "Help us to follow you God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength." This is based on the Greatest Commandment. God showed me something about that second phrase though. It's wrong. That's not the Greatest Commandment. I should have been praying, "Help us to LOVE you God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength." I have been focused on the doing, when God desires not my actions but my love. When we love God, our actions show it, sure. But we can DO for God without loving Him, and that isn't what He wants. He wants us to love Him. So now, this is my prayer for my life, the life of my kids, and for us as a church: God, help us to LOVE you with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. |
Update Your Information
It's Tax-Receipt time! Please follow this link to update your information with us, as it will do two key things: 1. This helps us to get you any tax receipts in your name. 2. It will help us know how to better serve you. (Even if you have updated your information recently, it is helpful for you to do this every year with us)

Wins
1. Volunteer positions are being filled in! We still need more people to get involved, but it is exciting to see these positions being filled with passionate servants! 2. We continue to have hard conversations, and people continue to reach out to us to resolve conflict and find a road forward! It is common to avoid those kinds of situations, but people here are leaning into them, and we are seeing such incredible grace, unity and strength moving ahead! 3. I have been soooo impressed with the compassion and support that you have for each other, and for us as pastors, as we all face challenges and struggles. Thank you for being a gracious people, and for embracing the fact that pastors are human too!

I Won't QuitSet Your GPS - Sunday, January 29, 2023 Life is hard sometimes, and when God calls us it can be exceptionally hard to follow Him to that place. It's not just a hard journey, we also often have direct opposition along the path. It can feel like an impossible journey. How are we supposed to survive and endure? The apostle Paul knew the feeling, and gave us some directions on how to endure. It turns out it isn't about trying harder, it's about letting Jesus do the work! When Jesus takes over, you become unstoppable. 2 Corinthians 4:7-18 For more infomation visit:
