Vision
One of the things that came out of our staff and leaders retreat was a renewed focus on what we need to invest in right now. The two things that require the most focus and investment right now is prayer and mission. We need to be a people of prayer and we need to be a people who keep the mission of Christ as our priority. We feel that in order to take the next step in this mission, in this journey of faith, in this fight for our world, our biggest needs are prayer and passion to reach the lost. We will be experimenting with new prayer initiatives on Sundays and giving prayer more focus in all of our ministries and teams. This isn't just to create more prayer in our organization, but for all of us as individuals, families and a church to realize the joy and power of talking with God. We will also be working to develop a bold passion for reaching the lost. This isn't going to take away from helping you grow in your faith, it should actually propel it. To grow in our faith and lose our desperation to reach the lost is to actually not grow in our faith at all. |
Update Your Information
It's Tax-Receipt time! Please follow this link to update your information with us, as it will do two key things: 1. This helps us to get you any tax receipts in your name. 2. It will help us know how to better serve you. (Even if you have updated your information recently, it is helpful for you to do this every year with us)

Wins
1. Our Meals Ministry is back up and running with lay-leaders! 2. Our staff and leadership retreat went really well and I am excited to see the results of the time we shared seeking God! 3. When everything was covered in ice on Sunday Jan 15th, our plow guy came out in a moment's notice to make sure the parking lot was salted! And that's after discovering that we needed to find a new plow company only back in the late Fall! 4. We've been having some high attendance Sundays lately, which is a super exciting way to start a new year!

Worth the SacrificeSunday, January 22, 2023 Along every great journey there comes a crisis moment when we have to decide whether to continue along our path or give in to something else that is in front of us. Do we choose our friends, or our marriage? Do we choose health, or junk food? Do we choose freedom, or temporary release? When that time comes we need to remember where God is calling us, where we really want to go, and make the hard decisions. Matthew 5:30 If it keeps you from your goal, it's not worth keeping For more infomation visit: http://amherstwesleyan.com/media/2023-01-22-worth-the-sacrifice
