Visionby Pastor Evan Why aren't we doing Trunk-or-Treat this year? 1. A number of our people were feeling more and more like we needed to move away from something that could too easily reinforce cultural halloween ideals. 2. Candy is such a cost and burden on our church, and kids get it by Trick-or-Treating anyway, so they don't need to get it from us. 3. We have a well established reputation in our community and can lean into that more now. 4. We want to give the community what they can't get from going door-to-door, and that is the Gospel. 5. We want to lean more into being a light in the darkness. 6. The pumpkin is an incredible illustration of how God wants to remove the nastiness from inside us and instead put His light in us to share with the world. Would you consider being part of this new effort by carving a pumpkin for the event (nothing dark or scary), donating financially to help cover the cost of the pumpkins we will be purchasing, putting together an activity for that day, praying over it, or showing up to share God's light with our guests? |

Pumpkin CrawlSaturday, October 31, 2026 We're doing something new this Oct 31st!
Still Free. Still Family Friendly. More Activities! More Fun! More Pumpkins!
After about 10 years of doing Trunk-or-Treat we are doing something new. The Pumpkin Crawl brings more of a carnival feel than a line-up for candy. Families won't need to stand in a massive line this year, instead they can wander from activity to activity, take in a special skit and presentation indoors, listen to the live band, check out all the decorated and carved pumpkins and get a few treats too. Costumes are welcome, but not required!
There is something really special about pumpkins in October, other than the fact they make incredible pie, and cookies, and lattes, and cheesecake! Every year we dig out the nasty goo inside them and replace it with light that cuts through the darkness. That's what we want to do with The Pumpkin Crawl! When the world seems to be getting darker and more negative, we want to spread some light!
All are welcome at our first ever Pumpkin Crawl, Saturday Oct 31st, 2-4pm!
