Vision

I want to see our mission be a priority in your life, but I don't want you to do everything. I want you to make serving a key part of your life and to carve out consistent time for it, but I don't want you serving with every ministry and every event. There are a few events I would like to see everyone at, but most times I would like to see different people serving in different ministries and different events. Have you found a place to serve yet?

One thing I would like everyone to be part of is Bible Study on Wednesday nights. I know it's not possible for some, but if you can be there, I think you should be. This isn't just about learning what is taught, it's also about making time to gather in prayer. Prayer is hard. Jesus asked His disciples to pray with Him before He was arrested, and they couldn't even last an hour praying for Him. Jesus also pointed out that some problems are only dealt with through prayer and fasting. It's a powerful weapon.

We're in a war for the souls of our neighbours. We won't win it if we don't use our best weapon and if we don't make the mission a priority.

On another note,

I want you to consider something Pastor Brad shared this past week at Bible Study. He said that everyone worships something, and we need to show them that Jesus is more worthy of their worship.

Wins

1. Trunk or Treat saw 492 kids (guessing about 1000 people total) come through, with some really positive connections made!

2. The teens held a Mission Night where they baked cookies for the homeless shelter, and police department, they sorted candy for Tunk or Treat, and they sang at White Birches Nursing Home!

3. Our Celebrate Recovery program is shifting to Overcomers, and it is already having a positive impact!

4. We are noticing more people using their Bible Apps and letting it push them more into the Word of God.

What About Unforgiveness

What About Unforgiveness

Please Forgive Me - Sunday, October 29, 2023

Is forgiveness necessary? What do you do if someone refuses to forgive you? What happens if you refuse to forgive someone else? Christ made it clear that forgiveness is necessary for us to give to others, and when we look around us and in the Bible, we see a nasty result of unforgiveness.

Unforgiveness always rebounds.

Matthew 6:14-15
