Two Updates for you:

1. The roofers are coming on June 12th to do the roof of the church! We need to get some work done to prepare the site for them before they come. If you have interest in helping with that, please talk to Dwayne York or Kyle Legere.

2. The Wesleyan Church encourages churches to give pastors a sabbatical every 7 years. That time is on top of their vacation for the purpose of rest, restoration and preparation for the next season of their ministry. I have been here for 8 years!

Thus, I (Pastor Evan) will be taking July and August off, as a mix of vacation and sabbatical, meaning I will not be at services, in the office, or doing any “church work” from June 29th until Sept 5th. 

While I am away, you can contact Pastor Sheryl or Pastor Brad, as they will be running things for July and Aug! And in order for me to use the time as best I can, I will be disengaging from facebook and emails and as much as I can!

1. At one of our ministries we had a visitor who was very hesitant about coming into the church, but when they saw one of our members, he knew this was a good place to be. Your example of Christ in your own personal lives is opening the doors for others to find Jesus!

2. We held our Step-Up Day where: 7 kids moved up from Bible Adventure to Konnect Kids, 5 students from Konnect moved up to EDGE Youth, and 11 fifth graders total came to EDGE youth for the first time!

3. We got word that the church roof is to be replaced before the summer!

When God gave the law to the Jewish people it was 50 days after Passover, thus the feast got the name Pentecost (50). Fifty days after Jesus was crucified, on Passover, there God gave us the Holy Spirit! He would write His law on our hearts instead of stone tablets. We don't need to just put more effort into following the law, we need the Holy Spirit so the law can be in our hearts!

Everything must go, for FREE! It's like a yardsale, but everything is free and in decent condition! Event will run 8-11am with a FREE BBQ.

Donations can be dropped off at the church starting June 4th until 9th. 

- The church will be open every day, except Tuesday, until 7:30pm to drop stuff off.

- Tuesday the doors close at 4pmStuff should be here by the end of the day on Friday.

- We need volunteers to help with the event itself, you can sign up in the lobby.

- This is part of our mission here to be down to earth people. We hope you can be part of this event.

Join us as we pray over our pastors and their families. As Pastor Evan goes on sabbatical for the summer and Pastor Sheryl and Pastor Brad run things while he is away, we want to cover them all in prayer and cover our church in prayer.

This is one of the biggest events we are part of throughout the year and allows us to make a ton of connections with people. Be watching for sign-ups and ways that you can be part of this incredible opportunity to share Christ with our community!

Do you need to get out of the house so you can talk to other adults? Do your kids need to get out of the house so they can play with other kids and have some space to run around?

Come check out our casual play group on Thursdays. There is no agenda and parents are responsible for their own children. Our basement space is a large open space and perfect for letting kids run and play together!
