Our Christmas Wrap-Up is just around the corner! This is one of the biggest projects of our year, and a massive opportunity to bless our community in the name of Jesus. We fill boxes of groceries for families in need, adopt a few families to provide presents, do free gift-wrapping, and many other things on that day. It's a kind of "outreach blitz."

You can be part of this incredible project by signing up on Sunday to be part of one of them that day, by signing up to fill a box of groceries, by providing financial donations, by praying for the work and those who will be touched by it, and by participating in our online bake auction! Yep, we have an online bake auction. You can go to the link below and see the items on facebook then place your bids in the comments. All the details are on that page, and all the proceeds go towards our Wrap-Up projects that bless and support our community.

I hope you will be part of it this year!

1. So, the church furnace hasn't been working for about a week, and Wednesday a lot of us prayed about it. Thursday it just kind of started working, and then we were able to find something simple that helped, and then the part we were told we needed finally arrived! Yay, heat and answered prayer!

2. We held our monthly leadership team meeting on Sunday and discussed future changes to our ministries and worked on our team dynamics, both were exciting and encouraging as we worked through really healthy debate and conflict to discover stronger unity!

3. Our Youth group had a huge turnout last Friday, one of our biggest attendance nights! I am so excited about how the teens are engaging the discipleship, are inviting friends, and how our volunteers are serving in that ministry with such excellence!

When we get caught doing something wrong, we often try to soften the consequence by explaining how the action is excusable or justified. We can get so much into that mode that we try to justify all our sin, or try to justify other people's sins because we love them so much. We fear the consequences, but justifying it doesn't make it go away. We don't need to justify our actions, we need Jesus to forgive and save us.

Justifying our sin doesn't get rid of it.

Annual Christmas Wrap-Up

Saturday Dec 9th, 1-3pm

Join us as we serve our community through a number of projects including:

- Packing Food Boxes for Those in Need
- Free Gift-Wrapping
- Gifts for Families in Need
- And Other Support Projects 

Meet at the church at 12:30pm to volunteer and help with one of our many projects.

If you're interested in getting your presents wrapped, you will find us at the Amherst Centre Mall and Dayle's Grand Market from 1-3pm.

Families are invited to join us for a fun Christmas Party where we’ll build a Gingerbread nativity, play games, sing songs, and learn about the First Christmas ever. It’s going to be a BASH!

Amherst Celebrates Christmas Eve at Amherst Wesleyan Church

Services at 5pm & 6:30pm

Special Music, Classic Christmas Carols, Snacks & Glow Sticks for the Kids, a Dramatic Presentation, a Candle-Light Closing, and all in 45 minutes or less (Or your money back! Jk, it’s free.)

A night of worship. Songs, Prayer, and creative elements will be used to set aside time to simply focus on God and give Him glory.

Join us at the West Highlands Elementary Gymnasium for games and lessons designed to help kids grow in their confidence and character development. 

For kids in Grades Primary to 6

Do you need to get out of the house so you can talk to other adults? Do your kids need to get out of the house so they can play with other kids and have some space to run around?

Come check out our casual play group on Thursdays. There is no agenda and parents are responsible for their own children. Our basement space is a large open space and perfect for letting kids run and play together!
