It is important that we each personally take the initiative to guard our own mental health, and to support those around us through phone calls and messages. If you would like to know how to better support those around you, please contact us! (Leadership Team)

Small Groups

Small Groups are a great way to stay connected and a great way to grow in your faith. All groups have either changed to meeting through online video calls or have been suspended.

Many groups have started using the technology at their fingertips to stay connected.

If you’re not part of a group yet, but would like to be, please contact Pastor Evan at amherstwc@eastlink.ca!

Also, be sure to download the Bible App for free access to the Bible on your phone along with reading guides, devotionals, and ways to connect.

Outreach

  • Join us in partnering with the community with Neighbours helping Neighbours. This is a site designed to connect those who need support with those who would like to help provide support. If you need supporyt, or would like to volunteer, check out the site HERE.
  • Join us Wednesdays at 7pm for Amherst LIVE, a live interactive web show hosted by AWC with interviews, games, Q&A and more! Click Here to Join Us!
  • With all the fear and negativity on social media now, we are encouraging people and families to post videos sharing what God is teaching them during this time. It is easy to see fear and anxiety increase every time someone goes on social media. With these videos, we can block out the fear and anxiety, and let God’s truth encourage and lift up everyone.
  • Last year we held an event called the Big Give. It was a giant yard sale where everything was free for the community. If you are cleaning out your house during this time, then I want to encourage you to keep stuff for the Big Give so we can bless our community once again. Only things in good or like-new condition will be accepted.
  • We have a ton of small businesses here in town that are going to be hit hard. When we are allowed to go out and interact again, we are going to write up thank you cards and tell them we are praying for their businesses to recover, and if they need anything to reach out to us. If you would like to help out with this, please contact Pastor Jamin.
